Integrating the transition towards nature inclusive agriculture with the creation of new homes
What if we could build extraordinary countryside homes whilst simultaneously restoring biodiversity?
For my graduation project at the faculty of Architecture at the TU Delft I decided to go back to my hometown, the place where I was born and raised, the Noordoostpolder. For this project I researched the possible integration of nature inclusive agriculture with the development of new countryside homes. I created a vision for the future of the polder and a landscape design which integrates nature inclusive agriculture with homes. Embodying that vision, I designed a case study family home with an emphasis on bio-based construction and modularity to show what a modern polder home could look like.
I highly encourage you to watch my film: ‘The Future of Countryside Living’ in which I explain all aspects of my project in a documentary style.
