I’m Mees, an aspiring architect with a passion for designing spaces that feel like home. Recently I completed my graduation project, The Future of Countryside Living, resulting in a Master’s of Architecture at the Delft University of Technology. In 2017, I interned at Dok Architecten in Amsterdam. In 2019, I interned abroad at Birdseye, an architecture firm specialising in residential projects in rural New England, USA.
My focus is on small-scale architecture projects, spanning from interior renovations, hospitality spaces and private homes. The personal experience of a space is at the heart of my work, with an emphasis on atmosphere and coziness. I always strive to create a Gesamtkunstwerk where even the smallest details of an interior enhance the encompassing vision of the project.
I also consult for small-scale renovation projects. Get in touch if you are in need of an architectural design, concept sketches, or simply a fresh perspective.
My other interests include mid-century modern furniture, car design and classical music.
